Yeah, I was THIS excited that I made an entry within a few hours of the contest being posted, lol. I'm going to be kicking myself in 3 weeks waiting.

I used Ness's maker PURRRFECTION for the outfit, but everything else was Google or myself.

La Llorona is rougly translated The Weeping Woman. The story goes that she had several naughty children who drove her insane. She then drowned them in a river and mourned their death for all eternity. As she was insane from naughty children she began haunting naughty children everywhere, and the only thing you have to do to keep her away is to be good.

When children are bad the parents threaten with La Llorona and some go to the extent of having someone moan in the darkness of night when children are naughty. My family took this story even further, but you can read more on that here.

One thing I wanted to mention, the text dips down like that as a symbol of La Llorona dipping children into the raging river. Also, because my husband missed it, mistaking them for shadows, those "shadows" in the water are other victims.

I feel like I'm cheating, lol. Having my maker online has completely streamlined my dollmaking time. I made the last 4 dolls in an hour and a half. That's typically how long I spent on ONE doll before my maker went online.

And also: WOOHOO, for once a stream of dolls aren't all the same color scheme (my typical blues/purples). ^^'

La Llorona: Amazing work. I totally got that the shadows were the other children. Very creepy ^^ Oh and I have to say my favorite part is the 'Be Good or Else' Animation. It gave me a little shiver when I noticed it after reading the story.
Mystical Unicorn: I like the unicorn's sparkley main and tail ^^

Magic: This one is my favorite, and I don't like pink!
Mystic: I think this one is definately the most intriguing. I want to know more about her.

I absolutely LOVE the mermaid maker doll, and the Paradise one (that's more what I was going for theme-wise), and even though the Amazing one doesn't fit squarely with the theme, I absolutely love the creativity that went into it

The trapped angel is my favorite of the black and white ones; I NEVER would had thought to go in that direction; kudos!

Aw shoot, I thought I was going by theme. I dressed her in simple down to earth clothes in a serene pose like the birds and nature around her with a laid back pony tail.

I think my favorite of the bunch is the mermaid and paradise ones.

I tried really hard to do something different for your b/w contest. Everyone was doing a bit of the same things so I tried to be extra creative.

Lol it still fits, just not squarely. The other one fits more, but they are both very well made dolls Maybe if her shirt was white (like all of the birds around her) it would have been a little more clear.
