Miranda's Dollmaker Dolls

These are all dolls I made with various dollmakers. Only ones I'm not including are gifts, or dolls I made for people in shops. These were for the new Dollmakers Contest; I will add any more I make. Feel free to comment. ^^

Oh goodie I get to kudos your recent entry, lol.

I gave you second place because my main objective was to be impressed (I was trying to get people to try harder) and you definately impressed me. Your past dolls are lacking much, but I don't want to go too far into it, lol.

Your recent doll impressed me because you chose to include a background and frame (ALWAYS a plus for me, just 'finishes' it, in my opinion). The frame was a nice addition, though a more evolved frame would have been better, perhaps adding some color to it. I would have liked to have seen an objective for her to be on the cliff. An orb of light or small fairy/butterfly that just flew beyond her reach. Text is always a plus. It lets everyone know exactly what you were trying to achieve.

I really hope you impove your Dollmaking skills! There's a lot more that can be achieved with a little work and passion.

I really like the Centaur doll, though the background is great, the pose of the centaur does make sense; it looks more like she's floating on water. xD But the background fits very nicely with the theme.

The vampire one really captures what a vampire is! ^^ I love the fire coming out of her palm, very creative.

Heh, I have actually been trying with my dollmaker dolls a bit more than in the past; mine were definitely not specialist dollmaker dolls. XD When I have a bit more time to spare, I will definitely throw in a couple more for you to critique. ^^

I think you you did well to come in at 2nd place
Ditto Lovie's critiques about your doll and I love the fact that you used a background, I think her centaur-ish looks are really cute.

The only negatives: The frame looks insignificant around the picture, a frame with more depth would have complimented the pic greatly...I look forward to seeing more of your dolls and watching them evolve.

Here's a new one for Ness's contest; I'm not sure if it's any good, but it makes me feel cold just looking at it. XD The theme, obviously, is snowy.

This is Linda. She loved her soulmate so much, that she thought they'd be together forever, but then something terrible happened. Linda's soulmate fell ill and died. When that happened, a shard of ice pierced her heart and she feels now that she can never fall in love again, cuz it hurts too much. One day perhaps someone will melt the ice from Linda's heart so that she can love again, but until then she stays in her globe where the snow always falls and where her heart is ice.

I couldn't figure out how to put the text there and make it fit. I googled the background, cuz it didn't look right without one. XD And all done on Paint, lol.

Yeah; I googled for a picture and pasted the doll on top. I then erased all the rest of the picture, cropped and transparentised it.
