This may or may not be a dumb question...but do we have to use a full body base? It's 'cause there is a portrait base that's like 3/4 of a full body that I really want to use. Specifically, this one: 1st row second from the right or last row last base

As I said, I'm not putting any restrictions on how you can doll them. Those bases are fine .

Well, I'm mostly done except I'm at loss as far as how to make her dress look decent...I've looked at Watermelon Bubblegum's tut; are there are others? Since it's more like a sheet than a formal dress, I'm not sure her techniques will work.

You might want to take a look here, though I haven't updated the list in a while so some links may be broken. When do you think you'll be finished, btw? The contest was supposed to end today, but I'm willing to make an extension.

Thanks..toolshading seems like my best bet right now...I should be able to get it in by Saturday at the absolute latest, depending on how many free dolling days I can fit in this week (I also have to help my mom paint horses for a theater set in real life). At the moment, I only have accents (read: sash and swirly clasps) left to draw and am finagling some of the physical characteristics of the base.

I still want to enter, but at the moment I'm having some trouble with my computer and using my parents' one. My doll was saved to my computer so I don't know how long it'll be til I can post it.
