Dolling Mentors - 02-11-2010, 11:09 AM
We (well, mainly Kitty) have come up with a project for experienced dollers to help newer ones, through a process called mentoring.
Basically, experienced dollers can sign up to be mentors and take on students. The mentor will keep in touch with the student, giving them criticism and advice on how to improve their dolling.
The mentoring process goes on as long as necessary, until either the student feels they've learned all they need to know, or the mentor has passed on all their knowledge. If the deal is just not working out for some reason, the mentor or student can call it off at any time.
If you wish to sign up to be a mentor, fill in this form and PM it to me:
Shading style: (pixel/tool)
Program(s) you use:
How long have you been dolling?
How often are you online?
Specialities (if any): (note things you are particularly good at, especially difficult/unusual things, and also mention if there's something you definitely can't do)
Examples of work: (at least five)
Examples of critique: (at least three)
Students: (how many are you willing to take?)
Please only sign up if you
a) are reasonably sure that you can be online regularly
b) are experienced enough to teach others
c) are capable of giving criticism in a honest but polite manner
If you wish to sign up as a student, just PM one of the mentors listed below.
