What does pillow shading mean?
 
Sorry for being stupid :p But, what does it mean :confused: I've heard it being used quite alot.

Pillow Shading is a rather immature type of shading that doesn't involve effort; it usually looks like this:



(My doll, can't find base link. Base is by Thingymabob.)

See how there's no defining detail in the clothing or hair? That's pillowshading. There's probably somebody here who can explain it better than me.

Pillow shading is when one shades from the outline inward. It's called "pillow-shading" because it looks pillowy and undefined.
