I believe it's from a Japanese TV programme; for all I know, all their programmes are like that. XD

Wikipedia says the owl in this video is named Popo-chen... how appropriately cute sounding! Wiki also says that when it shrinkes itself up, it's to make itself look like a dry tree branch, as the owl is native to savannas and dry woodlands. ^^
