Why is this site so dead?

A lot of people on here, like Queenie, are skilled at making bases; maybe we could in the New Year attempt to make our own dollmaker? Everyone could help to make clothes etc once we have the bases drawn; remember the Community dollmaker thread?

But yeah, at first, it would be best to stick with what we know and get a Shuni dollmaker up. ^^ I'd love to see cosplay items, like animal ears/tails, and anime style items, like for example Diclonius horns/vectors and Naruto headbands, in a maker, personally.

I am happy to start collecting props for the dollmaker, from experience I know that it has to be good and needs to be updated often, The more variety you have the better because everyone has different tastes as far as dollmaking goes, Designating one person to to the gathering & sorting of props is probably a good idea as things could get messy with numerous people doing the same task, I will send you a pm Kitty.
As far as handrawn bases go, there are many out there that do allow their bases to be used on doll sites, it is just a matter of designating someone to do a search and asking for permisiion.

Having a dollsite combining a variety of dollmakers like the shuni, style & handra plus the forum is a huge advantage to us as our members will get the best of 3 worlds instead of just one or 2, from what I have seen from the forum staff here and the way the site is handled & maintained I think that there are some very capable, talented & most of all devoted staff members here who would do an excellent job at running a site, I feel that Dollsters is too forum based and as Aaron stated a lot of topics have been exhausted so keeping the interest of members could be difficult which is why incorporating the shuni & handrawn makers will make a big improvement.

I definitely agree about that. The website needs to be completed so we can focus on that as our main aspect and the selling point. The forum and member activity will grow from there.

I look forward to your PM, Ness! We'll all have to discuss a point person to lead this work. Generally collect props from people, review for quality/theft(which is where we need someone very familiar with the current makers--we need original work, which can be daunting, but everyone enjoyed it the first time we did it), and also make sure props are transparent. They can obviously designate lower folks for work like that as well.

I'm glad to see us moving on this again, we need to boost activity and I agree that we have qualities and experience that the other sites don't, not to mention our own team of dollers! Anyone can get dollers from elsewhere to do it, but what sites can claim their makers are a result of a community effort? Big appeal there!

I could manage the Diclonius features easily. Creating horns on their own might not be practical; a better idea could be to create hairstyles (or versions of other hairstyles in the maker) with the horns in them, in various shades of Diclonius pink and red.

Maybe we could put in a few WoW items. =D Such as Night/High Elf ears, swords, bows, quivers, and everything else you could possibly need in a fantasy doll.

I'll be responding to everyone who PMed me tonight, I didn't forget you guys. I was just having internet issues last night.

Also: I'll set up a thread in dolling, which will include the base I adjusted that I have been working with and a list of hopeful to dos. The basic shuni base is not it, I readjusted the body to make it more realistic and fixed shading/colours. We'll aim for a completion date of the end of January, then any further props can just be put up later.

I do have a small base set from a while back titles "mini me" that I've been hoping to redo. If you don't mind until waiting until after the winter holiday season, I could start a Dollsters/TDP exclusive small dollmaker, sort of like a Bonita or Silent, but shaded better. I'll start with a sample Fairy maker set and pm it to you so you can decide whether or not you like it. ^^

I can help with this, like making some cosplay items, Like from some animes.
I've got this whole 2 weeks,and im doing pretty much nothing.
If you guys have any suggestions for some animes,please pm me,and i'll try to make that item for that character.
