Recently a few members have started new trends in the Personal dollmakers section. Skin tones, handrawn dresses for Shuni's, seperated pieces and much much more. The problem is that we expect credit, especially when we have signs posted in every catagory saying to do so. Problem is a lot of people don't give a rats a$s about the hours and hours of editing we provide for them. A very quick and easy way to fix this is to give Personal dollmaker owners an option. I think that there should be an option to set Personal Dollmakers to private, friends only or public. Everything else can be set to private/friends, why not this? Especially since this is a Copyright issue.

Isn't there an option to make it so you are the only person who can use or see it?
I KNOW THE PIECES FIT, CAUSE I WATCHED THEM FALL AWAY, MILDEWED AND SMOLDERING.
FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERING, PURE INTENTION JUXTAPOSED WILL SET TWO LOVERS' SOULS IN MOTION. DISINTEGRATING AS IT GOES, TESTING OUR COMMNICATION. THE LIGHT THAT FUELED OUR FIRE THEN HAS BURNED A HOLE BETWEEN US SO WE CANNOT SEE TO REACH AN END... Tool |

Nope, that's why we have issues, lol. Plus even if there was that option I'd like for my friends to be able to use it. I'm more for the "friends only" option while others would rather keep things to themselves, which is fine I mean its all personal preference really.
But that would be a start, why are you premi, do you know if there is one? ![]() Please have a look at my Shop! Help a girl out, keep me in mind, and share link with your friends and parents!

Maybe what needs to be done is an "Approved Members" view. Members could ask to view it through a button or something(just like the friends system on here), then you can approve or deny. That way you have complete control over who sees it, so if you don't want certain friends to or want it for one other person, you can. That should get around copyright issues.
Until this is resolved, I am going to give you all a big piece of advice that all handdrawn dollers use. Create a symbol and put it in the space around props(in a way that doesn't interfere). It marks it as yours in a way that is very common among dollers. I myself mark my work with a specially shaded pawprint and have never seen a copy. Its typical to use initials or symbols associated with you. Also, you can report anyone who steals your handdrawn props. Its harder to do with the typical palace props, but handdrawn ones can be asked to be removed. The helpdesk actually has a case then in comparison to the typical whining. Be sure to pass on that information to others making these props. If things go really bad, you may need to remove them until something is done to keep your props safe from this. Its something that happens to all dollers, but I can understand being upset about this outright theft. |
