Nail Salons : Hazerdous?

I just came back from the Nail Salon.
I made my brother sit through 2 and a half hours of me getting my nails done.
I got UV Gel's.
Their Painted light pink with red and white swishes across them.
But unfortunatly I'll never go back to that Nail Salon.
Why, you may ask
For one, The used a used nail file/clipper on me.
She cut under all my nails, she said its for my nail to grow.
When she made me wash my hands (After they bled because of her)
She made me whipe my hands with a towel, And put it back on the rack.
I asked her 'Do you have a laundry basket I can put it in'
She said no, it wasen't dirty.
She din't know, I could of had aids, Hiv
Anything,and shes putting the next customer at risk (I dont have Aids or Hiv)
Did I mention after she cut under all my nails..
She used that same tool on another customer.

I just wanted to say, Be aware of the next time you go get your nails done.
Ask questions, Don't be afraid to ask her to use another CLEAN tool.
I din't notice until after the fact, when my brother pointed it out.

what if someone did have HIV or something!?

Its just like...going to a resteraunt. Would you eat out of a plate that was used?

Im really grossed out now, sitcking to my hand sanitizer, even though if something happend..Hand sanitizer wont work

You know, you can report the place. Actually, you should report the place, they are required to sterilise all instruments after use, and that towel thing is grose.

But if you absolutely have to go somewhere again, ask people about the salon you just went to; if that woman's the only one who does that, she can get fired.

Also, cutting under your nails does NOT help nail growth; it makes it horribly painful, and you're left with scar tissue under the nails' ends. I managed to nick myself under my thumbnail once when I was doing a project for fourth grade, and I STILL have scar tissue from it.

yuck! the place i go to is very hygenic. and i always have them done there by the same person just to be safe.

Oh wow.
That is really nasty.
I got my nails done in Maine (when I was on vacation) and they were super hygienic.
They had instruments that they used and when they were done, they threw them away.
Why would they clip underneath your nails?
That would hurt badly.

Report them to the health department. That is extremely unhygenic and does put a lot of customers at risk since there are dangerous diseases spread by blood that can last for months at a time in the same place. Hepatitis C, for example, since AIDS and HIV can't be spread like that. All tools are supposed to be cleaned in places like that, especially if they caused you to bleed.
