It's because people don't know the difference between colour-changing and eyes with just different colours in them, such as green with flecks of brown. Colour changing eyes are eyes that go through all normal eye colours(from grey to brown to green to blue and anything in between), not just one or two. Normally people who say they have them really only have eyes that look different in different lights, which is normal.

Colour changing eyes is the sign of a Sue too... XD My blue eyes have a hazel edging round the pupil, which is pretty cool. Kind of like an outline.

I have dark blue eyes they turn to grey in winter though

Mine are hazel, but I think my left eyes going blue.
