Help! First highschool dance!

Ok, well the first dance for my freshman year is tomorrow from 8-11. I was gonna go hang out with my friends and have a good time. It is my first dance after all, besides the cheesy middle school dances. Well I had band practice earlier and there is this guy there who is a flirt, to put it lightly. He flirts with everyone, so I didn't think his behavior towards me meant anything. Well, he asked me. At first I thought he wasn't being serious, so I said no. And then he said, "What if I'm being serious?" That surprised me, but I still said no. I don't trust him. Well, he kept saying "please?" and asked my friend why I wouldn't say yes, so I know he was being serious. Then he asked me for one dance and I kept saying no.

I feel really bad now, and I kinda want to say yes. The thing is-I don't like him. I have thought I did, its kinda like a mood things-sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. So what should I do?...

Lol, well if you don't like him I'd say go with your friends and have a good time with them! I went with my friend and ended up dating a guy that I danced with for like a year. Romance can spark at your first high school dance, don't waste it on someone you don't like and that flirts with everyone!

To be honest with you, I miss middle school dances
cuz I never got asked.
And I don't know what I did different this year. And I mean, this guy hangs out with most of the "popular" crowd, so I don't see how he could like me. well my friend likes him so she thinks I should say yes, knowing that I can't go alone with you, so I would have to be with my friends, and yeah...but that would be stupid and wrong and I could gain a bad reputation, blah blah blah...

High school dances are meant to be fun, not stressful. Don't think about it so seriously. If you're lucky, you'll end up dancing with more then just the one guy, and maybe even your friends too. You could always see if he wants to hang out with you and your friends, so it can be a group thing.

Plus, there's no rule saying you HAVE to go to a dance with somebody. I've never gone to any high school dances, but I want to go to the Halloween one this year because I'm making a costume for a change. Anyway, you'd probably have more fun hanging out with your friends; if you don't trust the guy, then don't go with him.

Besides, if he really does like you, he might just consider acting immature and flirting with every female with two legs.

If he doens't change, well, I might take that to mean he would probably have commitmet issues; it's a pretty bad sign if the guy who likes you flirts with tons of girls even before you get close to dating.

And I love going to dances with my friends; it's more relaxed, and you can just do whatever. With a boyf, my sis says, you sorta feel glued to his side. Not my idea of fun; I want to roam, to see some people and what they're wearing, and just do whatever the heck I feel like; a guy would just hinder me.

Well, since I am ten and I haven't been to any dances, I would agree with everyone else here, don't go with the guy. If you don't like him it isn't worth being miserable [spelling problem yes I Know] a whole night with the guy. Just say no and if he can't accept that then he isn't going to take adult-hood very well. If he ask's again just be firm and say no and walk away! =D

Ok, well I went with him.
We slow danced. It was really cool. Well here, I posted this on yahoo-do you think by this he likes me?

Ok, well I went to a dance last night.
But before that he would always pick on me-poking me in the sides, blowing kisses (i mean he does the second part to most of his girl friends), and stuff like that. I have that feeling he likes me, when you can just tell, but it's been wrong a couple times...
Well before the dance, he asked me to it. I said no because I thought he was kidding, so then he said just one dance, and he kinda begged me all through band practice thursday night and friday during school, and so I said yes. Well, he didn't come during the dance until I went over to dance with some other friends, who were near him (a coincidence, because everyone else had left...). My friend jasmine told him that if he wanted that dance, he should get it now cuz it was almost over. So he asked me to dance (and the last couple songs are slow songs...) and we danced. It wasn't awkward at all, idk why...but when we talked it seemed like he was flirting and stuff, and he said, "is this so bad?" and all. And then afterwards jasmine said sorry and he said, "what for?" which means he liked dancing. He didn't slow dance with anyone else and he wasn't looking at anyone when we were. So, do you think he likes me?

Yeah...I mean everyone thinks he does...and he KINDA flirts with other girls, but he only slow danced or even danced with me...

Well he went to the dance with you, so usually that means he does - at least at your age. Still though, he went with you so he danced with you and no other girls; which usually guys don't do unless they are douchebags, so at least we know he isn't... yet.
