the memberlist -

on the memberlist, about 80% of the
people on there have 0 posts. my guess is they just make an account and just never go on it. way over half the members on here arent active AT ALL. all im saying is...if someone's account never has a single post for over a year... shouldnt they're account be deleted??  avi-me

Just because somebody doesn't post, doesn't mean that they aren't an active member. It just means that they haven't found the best part.
 They may be active in other parts of TDP. I do know that some accounts are very active anymore, and they probably could be deleted, but who knows how long or maybe how hard it could be. i agree with singer girl they might be active on others part of TDP and if there account is deleted they wont be able to enter some parts without an account for example the the avatar chat.
so i don't think that their account should be deleted.

Actually, the forum members list is more an archive of users that have come onto the forums at any given point in time. True, most of them never even post or never even come back, but it's mostly an archive.
 (Sig base by Bunnystick.) Here's a tip: DON'T TRY TO FRIEND ME. I hate it when people try to friend me, especially if they just broke board rules. Friending moderators or friends of moderators will NOT exempt you from trouble. END STORY.

I think that some of the inactive forum members should be wiped from the list, only cuz it takes up bandwidth and space. They would still be able to come on forums, just that a yearly housecleaning would really help the server space. However, only support can do that. Maybe PM her once, nicely, and put your idea to her?

As for cleaning out a members list, I don't believe it should be based on posts. My boyfriend comes on here regularly to speak to me and he just about never posts. What it really should be based on is time inactivity. Like, if they haven't logged in since 2004, I doubt they are coming back.

All of the Names are on there becuse other people do other things on tdp palace, when you make an account it audomaticly makes one on here too, if the accont is about a month old then it should be deleted i agree on part if the deletings :P

Fallen, in case you didn't actually read the thread, you'd see that IT ONLY LOGS USERS WHEN THEY COME ONTO THE FORUM. That's why there's a "Latest user is" thing under the Who's Online at the bottom.
Also, deleting month-inactive accounts is incredibly unfair to quite a few users, especially the ones who can't get on for various reasons. (Sig base by Bunnystick.) Such as the ones who get banned for over a month. I'd give it about a two year inactive period since some bans are a year long, that way it'd give leeway for users who have been bad and want to get their act together after long-term bans.
