Dollmaker Chat?

I was trying to see what the whole Dollmaker chat option was about so I checked the little box to have it up while I was making a doll...but when the maker finished loading, it said that I needed Java 1.1...so I went online and downloaded Java and went back on TDP and tried to get on the Dollmaker Chat again and this time there was an error message:

*** Thank You For Visiting The Doll Palace.
*** Connecting to The Doll Palace... This can take some time.
Error: java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host: connect
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException

What on earth does that mean?! And how can I fix it so I can finally see what the Dollmaker chat is?

sadly uo can't fix it for it is every member on here that is having the exact problem with the doll chat in the doll maker and also the doll chat on the home page only support could deal with it cause I as well downloaded Java and nothign is happening for myself when I build my dolls.
