thunder storms.

okay i seriously get scared from thunder storms and no matter what i do i cant get over my fear! theres been a lot where i live this week. any ideas of how i can cure my little fear?

Same here.
I try to talk to my boyfriend while theres a storm, but theres always that fear of getting struck by lightning so I don't.
Instead I blast music into my ears and shut my eyes.
Maybe you could do that too~

I had the same fear last summer. What my mom told me to do is to go into a room where there are no windows (like a bathroom) and just listen to music or something. That way you can't see or hear what's happening outside.

well.... you could always pull curtains over the windows and blast music and go on the computer or something ^^

I have been since I was vary young.
I start crying and hyperventilating.(to this day)
I have 2 situations to tell about.
1st one: I was walking my dog last summer with my friend and her younger brother and one started and it was pouring and we were only in summer clothes. I started freaking out and I hid under a bush in someones yard >.>
2nd story: I was in school and the power was knocked out and there was alot of thunder and I was holding back tears, I zipped up my hoodie and just stopped talking to everyone and couldn't do my work.

my fear is mostly thunder, I can live with lightning but if I see the lightning, I will get scared.

EDIT: Great...I hear we are due for a Big storm tonight O_O

I'm still pretty scared of thunderstorms myself, but I'm mostly over it now because I do the following:

1: I imagine people playing bowling in heaven. I don't know why, but it makes the thunder less scary. XD
2: Same as above, except I imagine my great-grandma peeling potatoes for the potato salad she was practically famous for and she accidentally knocks over the basket of potatoes.

There's a lof of things you can do to get over your fear. ^^ BUT, as I'm still pretty scared of lightning, I can't help there. o_o

XD I'm not scared at all. As a child, I'd actually go out and dance in the round, and was fascinated by storms; one of the gifts I wanted from Santa was the chance to see a tornado. O.o

I look at lightning as a beautiful but wild thing. Avctually, when ti comes to lightning, stay away from water and electronics. I don't really know what else to say about it, since I can't fully understand your fear... I'm just not afraid of it.

I've always felt drawn to storms; I imagine myself as being able to shoot lightning from my hands, or as a goddess throwing down lightning bolts. I love to watch them from my bedroom window.

You, too? Wow! ^^ But I imagined myself a goddess of the rain. Sometimes I told the rain to rain harder, and imagined that it did, or, as a coincidience, it actually did.
