Default Oh my gosh, my first hand-drawn.... - 08-23-2007, 07:54 AM

Oh wow. I am bursting with happiness right now! I hand-drew my very first doll.....and I didn't completely ruin it!
I made it to be my av, and I got the base from ~ A u t u m n ~ P i x e l s ~ :

(the doll is made to resemble me)

and to give you an idea of what the base looked like before I edited it (the one with the book, obviously) :

For a first doll, that is quite pretty! Most people don't attempt any shading, whilst you tried to shade individual strands (something I still don't do >.<)

The shirt, however, could use some folds. Perhaps I shall (attempt) a portrait soon, so that you may know what i am talking about, but when you make a shirt you very rarely follow the same lines as the base.

I'd lead you to sites with tutorials, but I'm not musch help in that area...

That's your 1st doll? OMK! *stares in amazement*
The colors are great, and I like the detailed hair. you did a nice edit of the base! ^^
The shirt looks skintight, and it would be nice if you add some folds to make it look looser.

Well done! ^.^

I'm a ballerina! Er, actually, I quit, because I'm soooo bad at the fuete(sp?) turns! Not to mention I'm one of the least flexible in my class... even though my split is probably around two inches off the ground, I've seen my classmates TEXTING while doing a split!

Wow, that is totally amazing for a first doll! In fact, I'd say it's easily better than some of my recent ones, and I've been dolling for a couple of years! I especially love the hair. The only thing I don't really like about this is the colour of the shirt, but that is just my weird personal tastes. Anyway, good job! *clap*

O.o That's possible? Woah. I can't do a split at all.....

*pokes signature* that would be it.

Nyaa! It was cute (while it was still up)

The skirt was slightly odd, however. But I cannot say why, as it is no longer there...

Heh, thanks! Here it is again:

I know why the skirt looks weird, though....You can see the little line-y pixel-y things....>.< Eh, I guess I just need to practice more.

Though, if you don't look too closely, the skirt looks pretty good....*squints*
