My current bf has this thing about stockings and suspenders so to please him I wear stockings most of the time with short skirts and high heels.

Does anyone else dress just to please the whims of their bfs?

I don't think you should let them influence your clothing choices. Every once and a while you can wear something they like, but not all the time. It's your choice, and if he can't stand to see you in something else, you should move on.

Well actually my bf is a little treasure. I swear he's more girlie than me sometimes. He likes to fix my hair and he's better at applying my makeup than I am and has great dress sense. if I can only get him away from wanting me to wear suspenders (holdups I don't mind at all) he'd be as perfect as perfect can be. Its quite fun being a real live barbie doll.

If your BF tries to control how you look, it's obvious he cares more about your looks then how comfortable you are and what you like.

Sure, I try to wear what my BF likes me in on special occasions, but, for example, I don't suddenly only wear sl.utty/gothic/girly clothes because he likes them. I wear what I like most of the time. Which happens to be whatever I have in my closet at that time - whether it be a skirt and a tube top, or jeans and a sweater.
