Torie looked at David, slightly taken off guard that he called her Torie. "I'm sure he will be but he had many blows to the head and I am worried about possible brain swelling. He also took several hits to his eyes and they looked pretty bad earlier."
"He seemed to be seeing just fine when we left." Alex replied.
"Yes, they were a bit better but-"
"But you need to stop worrying and enjoy time with your family." George replied.
Torie sighed, feeling like she was being ganged up on. "Then fine. What do you all wish to talk about?"
"How about you? How are you doing? How are you feeling?" Her father asked.
"I'm fine. Besides, I don't really feel like talking about it." She replied.
"Victoria, you need to talk about it." George replied.
"I don't need to anything. I am perfectly fine." Torie replied, getting upset. She stood up. "Excuse me. I am going to use the restroom." She added, walking off.
"George, you shouldn't be so hard on her. If she doesn't want to talk-"
"Rachel, don't tell me how to talk to my daughter. She needs to talk about it so she can feel better." George interrupted her.
"And she is. But maybe-"
"So, she just doesn't want to talk to her father then." George interrupted her.
"That's not what I'm saying." Rachel replied, getting annoyed.
"Then what are you saying?" George asked.
Greg cut the feed while Janelle went to answer the door.
Being single doesn't make you weak, it means that you are strong enough to be on your own; Being alone could be a good thing, because there is no drama involved in your life, no pain, and free to do what ever you want. Life is too short to be chasing those who aren't even worth fighting for, you are worth more than that.
