Shelly nodded. "Thank you, Doctor."
Torie had eventually fallen into a nightmare filled sleep.
Torie was walking though the Lake park when she noticed movement all around her. She stopped and looked around, only seeing shadows. "Hello? Anyone there?" She called out.
As she turned, the shadows formed into her friends. Janelle stepped out, then Greg and Cole, Mike and Ella, and finally Ryan. They were all frowning and pale looking.
"Why Torie? Why did you have to bring us into the Resistance?" Janelle said.
"We would still be alive if it wasn't for you, Torie." Greg snarled.
"I told you that this would all turn out horribly. But nobody listened. Now look at us. 6 feet in the ground ready to rot." Cole added.
"You not only murdered me, but my children, Torie. How could you murder my children?" Ella replied.
"We all blame you, Torie. You are the one who got us killed." Mike added.
Ryan walked up closer to her. "I loved you, Tor, and this is how you repay my love? By getting me killed. By getting us all killed."
"No, no, no. I didn't mean it. I didn't mean it." Torie stammered, starting to cry again.
"I DIDN'T MEAN IT." She yelled, jolting awake. She scooted back to the wall against her bed and pulled the covers around her. "I didn't mean it." She whispered, breathing heavily.
Alex was perplexed. "What would change?" He asked.
Being single doesn't make you weak, it means that you are strong enough to be on your own; Being alone could be a good thing, because there is no drama involved in your life, no pain, and free to do what ever you want. Life is too short to be chasing those who aren't even worth fighting for, you are worth more than that.
