Ryan noticed her playing with the locket. A memory came to him:
"I want you to have this."
"A locket? Ew, mommy, lockets are for girls."
The beautiful, hour-glass shaped, woman with long wavy brown hair, almond-shaped green eyes and delicate facial features smiled warmly. She knelled down and handed the small child a golden locket. She held his hands closed, the locket inside, as she gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Maybe one day, you can give it to a girl you love."
"But why don't you give it to Jane?" The brown-haired boy whined.
"I already gave Jane a gift. This is what I'm giving to you, Ryan."
"Why are you giving us gifts? It's not Christmas, or my birthday."
"Just because I love you." The woman gave her son a hug and stood up.
Ryan said aloud, "Lindsey... I had a locket just like that. Not for myself, of course, but I remember a woman giving me one when I was little. JUST like that one."
Kevin tried to change the topic, "Ryan, I'm sure your locket is still at home. How many therapy sessions do you have a day? How long are they?"
Ryan didn't respond to Kevin, instead staring at Torie and the locket.
