"There's the bundle of joy." Kali grinned before looking at Set. "Get her a few stuffed animals. Biggish ones," she made an estimation with her hands. "They'll make her feel less lonely when she wakes up, she'll have something to hug that's bigger than her that'll make her feel safe when you guys aren't immediately there." She smiled. "Besides, who doesn't like something to cuddle with?"
Thoth flinched suddenly and held his head, wincing. "Ow."
"What's up with you, bookworm?" Kali raised an eyebrow.
"Something really nasty was written down. F- crap," he gnashed out. "It's nothing. Just, someone writing cruel poetry. Self-hating crap. Pretty vitriolic. Most likely just an angry teenager." He rubbed his forehead. "Haven't seen anything like that since the reign of Tut."
"Bet that was fun." She sipped her tea.
"Worst. Pharoah. Ever." He shook his head and leaned back to take a breath.
High dive into frozen waves where the past comes back to life. Fight fear for the selfish pain;
It was worth it every time. Hold still right before we crash 'cause we both know how this ends.
A clock ticks 'til it breaks your glass and I drown in you again,
'Cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need. Chasing relentlessly, still fight and I don't know why!
If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love's insanity, why are you my clarity?
