"Yep!" ^_^ Erika went about getting said sample and hopped back up on her lab stool. "Alright, where's that slide you brought me."
"Here." She held her palm up, and her hand dropped downward on a hinge; a slide that had already been prepped was in her wrist. Erika stared at it.
"... Well, that's interesting." She took it gingerly and slid it into the microscope before examining it. "I don't see anything wrong with these cells, Robin."
"You'd have to see the genetic makeup to see it. Here." She held up a sheet of paper and Erika took it, glancing at it, then staring.
"That's not a proper sequence." She picked up one of her textbooks off the floor, "That's not even X-gene sequencing, that's just mutation gone rampant."
"Yes. I was reading over a medical journal and was able to recreate the sample in it for testing. Curiosity is simply impossible to ignore as a result of my programming." For some reason, her metered voice took a deadpan tone.
"You're lying. This is somebody's on the ship." Erika bit her lip. "Whose?"
"Until I come to a certifiable conclusion about the circumstances surrounding the DNA jumbling, I cannot reveal that information." Robin held her hands up in apology. "Patient confidentiality."
Erika huffed and scooted over, taking the top slide off the DNA smear and adding a tiny drop of the healing serum. Robin took the slide once Erika was done noting things on paper and inserted it into the slot in her wrist once more. "DNA sequencing has been rearranged into the normal genetic sequence, but-" She frowned. "-projecting down the line, a few years from now, a reapplication of this would need to be applied. The sample's already returning to its original state."
High dive into frozen waves where the past comes back to life. Fight fear for the selfish pain;
It was worth it every time. Hold still right before we crash 'cause we both know how this ends.
A clock ticks 'til it breaks your glass and I drown in you again,
'Cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need. Chasing relentlessly, still fight and I don't know why!
If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy? If our love's insanity, why are you my clarity?
