Nashira's birthday came at last; she happily ripped the wrapping paper off her parents' present to reveal the new Comet broomstick. She was equally happy with both her cousin's and Wendy's presents, and the other presents she'd received. On being prompted by her parents, Nashira sent off owls with thank you notes to everyone who'd given her a present.
