Nashira also sent Wendy a letter, with her father's brown and white vulture, to say that her birthday was coming up in ten days and her parents had promised to buy her a racing broom, a Comet, so that she could practice with a view to joining the house Quidditch team next term. Draven already knew from Dulce that there'd be tryouts, cuz the Seeker and a Chaser were graduating from Hogwarts. He of course had no interest in trying out.
His parents had set him to learn Occlumency and Legilimency in the holidays. Draven had suggested that he practice with his grandmother; he had no intention of allowing his parents access to his memories, should he not pick it up straight away, and his parents had agreed. Despite his fears at not mastering the skills, Draven had had no trouble in both accessing his grandmother's mind and shielding his own. He planned to learn the theory while he was staying with Wendy so as to fend off any questions from his parents as to whether he was working on it or not; he knew he couldn't practice practically, as it required the use of a wand and Wendy, as a halfblood with a Muggle father, would no doubt have the Trace on her.
