This was a good thing; Diane could swim, but was terrible at it in that she couldn't float and would struggle just to keep her head up. O_o She fell in headfirst but caught herself mostly on her hands and knees, and she spat out water, horrified and feeling as though she were going to throw up. Sinopa watched Diane carefully from where she was; so... no ... mutation?

"Ow!" Diane threw herself onto her backside and ripped her shoe off, staring at the sharp talons that had ripped through her sock. There were four; one of her toes was gone and the skin was tinged slightly in a splotchy pattern of black all up her foot, ankle, and what was visible of her shin. The same patchwork began to grow on her arms and neck, and when she turned around Sinopa stared. Her already yellow eyes were even more yellow than before, and were slitted like a reptile's. o.o
