Nedakh had been watching Victor out of the corner of his eye; the young man had been the last to finish. Finally, when Victor was done, Nedakh stood, and everyone got quiet. "My children and I talked this over. Takaia, as Harley's man healer, has told me that, even limping with a splint, he'd travel faster than our biped forms. As such, I feel it would be best if we all switched forms to travel; we'll all have pacs on our backs the birds can cling to if they must."
Tina stood. "Permission to speak, sir?" she asked. He raised an eyebrow but gave her a curt nod. "If the road leading to your capital isn't too rough, I could build Harley something to support his lame leg on the way there; it would take me about an hour or so."
