I didn't notice a shadow under the tet, so I'm not sure what you are referring to.

What I think you might be able to improve on next time you try something like this is the wings and the way they connect to the spines; it looks odd just cutting in halfway in the middle part; the innermost wings look the best because of their curvature.

I absolutely adore the scales and the head and the body; quite impressive. Kudos!
