Reviving this thread to throw this in; over in England at the moment, it is cold. So cold, you have to put the heating on. And I still see silly girls shivering in sleeveless dresses with no tights and no jackets walking down the high street; seriously, people, if you're going clubbing you could certainly take a cardie with you. A collegue of mine regularly goes clubbing and does just that; she wears leggings and a cardie in cold weather, then once she's in, goes to the loo to take them off and stuff in her bag.
