Lorelei shuddered, pinching her nose with her fingers to try and prevent the God awful stench from assaulting her sense of smell any further. In normal circumstances she simply would have demanded one of her companions make it go away. Now, however, she was too put off for brattiness.

"This 'hideous place' seems to stretch on for a while," she remarked instead, sounding a little doubtful. "What if everywhere is like this? Then what do we do..." the mermaid's eyes widened in horror. "It'll all be so ugly," she said, sounding even more distressed than she previously had. "I simply won't be able to stand it!"
