Stargazer skipped home. Her mother, a pink earth pony with a blonde mane and tail, said, "Did you have fun with your friends, sweetums?" She had a gold ring with a ruby for her cutie mark, and she ran the local jewelry shop; her name was Ruby.
"Funly-doodles!" Stargazer chirped.
Stargazer's father, a midnight blue pegasus with white blonde mane and tail and a stern demeanor said, "That's good to hear." Her father -Nightwing- was in charge of a major shipping company.
"Daddy, can you show me some flying tips, or something?"
Nightwing looked startled, then suspicious. "You hate flying."
"I know, but maybe if I get stronger, I won't hate it as much," Stargazer fibbed.
