Yeah, she used to think it was just a silly hobby until I took her through the process of making a doll (specifically, the 50's one), then she realized how fun it is and how serious it is, because you want to have a solid final product!
And thanks so much for the comments on the flame doll. I don't know if you remember, but a couple years back, there was another elemental contest, and I entered this doll
which I'm linking to cause it's so old, and I was given some feedback to make the background more interesting, and to try having a frame that wasn't just a black border, so I guess you could say the current flame doll is me putting those last critiques into action,
