I don't like this because I wonder if it'll cause circuses to fade out as a tradition, but I suppose that's an overreaction. You're right, they hardly receive the care required, so I agree, if slightly grudgingly.

I'll never forget the first time I stood about two meters from a lion or tiger (not sure which, but I know it was a predatory cat, and it might have been both. My memory of the exact details is hazy due to my age at the time, but I'll never forget the feeling.) and I'm sorry other children won't get to have that experience, but it isn't exactly fair for it to come at the animal's expense.
