I've heard that, too; the reviews I read said that the characters were mainly vapid and uninteresting, the plot was full of holes and it was obviously catering to teenage girls with its basic "girl power" story.
That's kind of insulting, if you think about it, cuz there's loads of movies that appeal to teenage girls that have really good plots, like The Craft for example, so there really is no need to have a movie like Sucker Punch.
