Meanwhile daily life at the mansion remained pretty much normal. Despite the heightened sense of tension in the air and the constant feeling of always being on alert the X-Teens managed to get on with their daily lives as well as possible. Scott, who still wasn't convinced of the miraculous 'cure' spent most of his time with Jean. This was partially because the problems surrounding the clinic but also because they were now officially 'together' and he enjoyed spending time with her.
Kitty was, at present, looking for Vaughn, after several days she had finally dug up the nerve to ask him whether he'd like to try being more than just friends. The two had spent almost as much time together as Scott and Jean due to the extra training sessions as Kitty had found he was the one person she felt completely comfortable around. It was a completely different feeling than the one she had had for Lance but it was much stronger.
