Exclamation Animal Testing - 08-27-2010, 02:42 PM

I recently went out and bought about $30 of new cosmetics, only to find a week after I had bought it that they test on animals. I had no idea when I bought it because I though, oh, they're a well-known company and it doesn't state otherwise on the packaging.

But it is usually the opposite, with large compaines using animal testing and leaving the fact off their merchandise. Now I cannot return them either because I have used them and threw away the receipt.

Below is a link to the official website where you can see which brands DO and DO NOT test their products on animals.

Caring Consumer // Search for Cruelty-Free Companies and Products

I was quite surprised at some of the brands that were on here that my family and I often buy and that are in my house right now.

By not buying these brands, you can help to not contribute to the testing. I am not saying that you HAVE to stop buying them, I just thought some people would like to know what exactly they are buying. And if they have to test it on animals to see if it's safe, what does that say about us using it?
