My mother was the same way, my father's family, on the other hand, shunned me when I hit middle school. Choice is definately something I wish to do for my children once they are old enough to decide for themselves. I do plan on raising my children as Catholics and my husband agrees. We find that the strictness of Catholisism to be just right for children or for people who have lost their way and need a bit more "rules" and formality.
