Everyone Read: Stolen And Shared Accounts -

Picture the scene. TDP user Anabelle logs into TDP almost every day. She has premium, which her mother pays for thru Paypal. Anabelle gets talking to another TDP user, Fairy_Girl, on forums. Fairy_Girl does not have premium, and asks Anabelle if she can borrow her account to make a doll. Anabelle agrees.
However, next time Anabelle tries to log into TDP, she finds that her password has been changed. She tries password recovery; oh horrors! Her email has been changed, too! The account has been stolen, and with it, her premi. She now has to go thru the exhausting process of cancelling her premi, knowing that there is going to be a delay, and also that her mother might tell her that she won't pay for her premi any more.
Even if she gets her account back, she might find that Fairy_Girl has used it for much more than premi features. For example, she might find that Fairy_Girl has trolled the forums, resulting in the account being banned from forums. Or that Fairy_Girl has attacked her friends, losing valuable friendships. In short, Anabelle has learned a lesson; that sharing her account was a terrible mistake that she certainly will not repeat.
This very story happened just days ago, with a user losing her account when she tried to share it to be nice. It was a fluke that she got it back, since many others never see their accounts again.
NEVER share your account with anyone. Not your sister, not your best friend, not anyone. If your account is stolen, then there is a chance you will NOT get it back. If you have premi, then the thief is going to enjoy the benefits of a service you paid for, at YOUR expense.
Also, do NOT give out your password to anyone, even if they claim to be TDP site staff or forum staff. The staff of either the site or forums do not need your password to access your account. Anyone posing as staff is doing this so they can STEAL your account and STEAL your premi.
Sharing an account on forums could get your account BANNED, regardless of who broke the rules. You will be held responsible, even if it was your friend or sister who broke the rules.
If anyone sends you a Dollmail or Private Message asking you for account information, REPORT IT. Report a Dollmail to Helpdesk and a Private Message to myself or Kitty.
