Once all the prisoners were in their cells, along with whatever mercs were there, a gate was released and the hellhounds ran in. They were large, feline beasts with red and blue spikes of fur; their eyes were an odd irridescent white with no pupils. They snarled and snapped at the prisoners in the cells, but didn't do anything else; they were only there to ensure there wasn't a riot over food.
Slots in the doors allowed the wardens to give each prisoner their food for lunch; the meal for that day was corn, a dry hamburger, and nearly burnt fries. Yuni shot the warden in front of her cell a look of disgust. The warden just rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, the quality sucks today, but we're getting a shipment of fresh food tomorrow!"
