This is a well known scam across many sites.

You should never give your password out. When people ask for it, they are planning on stealing your account in hopes that eventually they'll hit a premium account. We ask that all users who use these scams be reported so they can be dealt with.

Also, the staff will never ask for your password either. If we needed to do anything to your account, we just would. We don't need you to give it to us. If anyone claims to be staff, you need to report them.
