I'm right there with you. I just cut my hair from my waist to my chin last month. I tried keeping it longer but with the heat, and the care no thanks.
For the thickness you could go to a salon and have them thin it for you its painless, like a hair cut and should cost only about 5-10 dollars.
Blow drying it all the time will make your hair dryer and make ti thicker so you should e sure to use a heat protecting or hydrating shampoo/conditioner.
