It's a bit pillowy. The highlights need to go with the folds. Since you're new at this, here's a couple tips.
1. Look at yourself in the mirror and see how the highlights hits on your shirts and jeans. As well as your hair.
2. Check out some tutorials. Most doll sites have a few. Try a lot of them out, to help develop your own style.
3. Practise makes perfect, right? So the more you doll, the better you get.
I have a couple other bits of CC, but until you get the basics down and everything, those aren't important. For right now, learning proper shading is key. Shadows, details, etc. aren't important for you right now.
It's good, but just watch for the pillow-shading demon, okay? xD Pillow shading and shading to the base are the short cuts, and shorter isn't always best. I take a couple hours on every one of my dolls, and sometimes I end up spanning it over a couple days (not straight of course). Some dollers take days and days to get things perfect. ^^
