I tried to do your style of shading, and I confess that I utterly failed. ^^;
I love your blue doll to death, though; it's simplicity is it's cuteness. Just add a few sparkles/bubbles (if you want her element to be water), a little jewelry, and some extra color to blue sky and she's great. ^^
What would Rika's element be?
