Getting palettes on it is easy.
You copy and paste them in.

Or if you want to make your own, you choose one color in the color palette at the bottom you don't need and double-click it and define custom color then play around with the chart until you get the color you want and add to custom colors then okay. Then you make a square/circle on the canvas with the paintbrush then do the same thing in the color you changed but make it lighter.
