Ummm...
This is a poem I wrote for my BFF when we went to Middle School. I'm not much for poetry, I'm more of a story person.
FRECKLES
You and me,
Best of friends,
Not me without us,
It's always us two.
We walk along across school's grassy field,
bright sunshine upon our freckles,
we wave to others and they all know,
I am not me without you.
Together we lean against a tree,
a tree we are often found under,
we talk of things,
such different things,
but we always agree,
we are best friends.
Me and you,
Always two,
Never apart,
That is, until middle school.
Me and I,
I must make new friends,
And I know you are doing the same,
But things are confusing,
for the first time in a while,
I am thought of as "her" and not "them".
