I know we all have favorites, but video games are so diverse, itís hard to actually say which are the best games out there. I really like a lot of the classic video games, but some of the new ones are pretty powerful, too. I figure the old ones must be classics for a reason, right?

I play most of my games on my various systems, but sometimes I spend my video game time on the many computer games out there. You can argue with me all you like, but here are my personal top five video games (at least for the next few weeks.)

World of Warcraft

I play WoW on the computer, and you have to have lots of time to invest in the game if you really want to play it well. World of Warcraft is a lot like Guildwars in that you select a character, then train her, dress her and use in various battles and quests to reach new levels. WoW is one of the largest multiplayer games in the world, so itís also kind of neat to talk to other characters from all over the planet.

Super Monkey Ball

Itís quirky, but I like how simple yet fun all of the Super Monkey Ball games are. Put your monkey in a glass ball and race your friends or the system around various tracks to see who has the best control with bragging rights and who comes in second place.

Tomb Raider

Sometimes we need a bit of throwback to the good old days. Iím even proud to admit that Iíd heard about Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider video game before the movie with Angelina became famous. I was young, but informed in the things that matter. Lara is a girl to look up to. Saving treasures from the bad guys out there while looking great and kicking some serious butt in the process Ė my heroine.

Final Fantasy

I like games that have more than just action. Anything with extra plot and strategy win me over every time. The Final Fantasy series got me hooked years ago, and I still like to drag out the old discs just to play a few more rounds when I have the chance. So many characters with so many missions and plot lines make it more than just a game. Any of the Final Fantasy games are more like movies in my options, but they are movies you get to control, so Iím definitely a fan.

I know there isnít actually a game called Mario, but you know exactly what I mean. Anything Mario Brothers is okay with me. Iíve played them all (I think) and even the oldest ones, which you can now play on Wii, are fun. Sure, they arenít particularly deep and you baby sister could probably win the game, but sometimes simple is better. Besides, you can make them as complicated as you want by trying to find secrets and warp tunnels. At the moment, my favorite is SuperMario Sunshine.

Personally, I think The Sims 2 is the best video game ever. No matter what consule you have it for - I have it for PC, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance - this game is awesome. For PC, it's just about their life and the extension packs are great, for GBA, you are on TV and have differnt plots and such and for Nintendo DS, you run a hotel - those are the only ones I know of, but all my friends have the PC game and it is a classic.

I feel so left out...I haven't the attention span for video games. Sitting still for so long....Makes me wonder what I'm missing.

I did used to have this awesome one on my computer left from the previous owner. It was this dinosaur game and I had no idea how to play, but that was what made it so addictive. I kept bursting into flames and dying randomly....

But that one's gone now my hard-drive's died......Are the Zelda games that good? My younger brother owns a couple of them.
