Girls love drama. Some of us are drama queens and love to be the center of attention, and others prefer to hang out in the audience and just watch the dramatics unfold around us. Of course there are always people who prefer to keep to themselves, but when something gossip worthy is occurring, itís a rare individual who honestly doesnít care to hear the latest or see what happens next. We just canít help it!

The Drama of it All

There are lots of ways to get a drama fix. Television is great at giving us what we want. Do you think soap operas would be nearly as popular as they are if we werenít tuning in? Hearts are breaking and betrayal happens right and left. Only in a soap opera can a girl find out sheís adopted, realize she was about to marry her real brother and then be targeted for murder by her mother. Oh, how we gobble it up.

Of course, soap operas seem tame compared to their cousins - the reality shows. If my reality was anything like the reality I see on television, I probably would have been beaten up or gone insane years ago.

How can there possibly be so many crazy people in the world, and how do they manage to find each other in front of television cameras? Iím sure the producers of the shows have nothing to do with it.

Sure, Iíve seen a few fights at school between girls, but Iíve never seen the kinds of catty remarks and hair pulling Iíve seen on MTV. And its not limited to teenage girls Ė grown women the age of my mother have been known to throw down over the craziest things. Itís a bit shocking, but I personally find it hard to change the channel in the middle of someoneís psychotic breakdown over what she thinks someone else said about her in the confession room.

Why Do We Love it?

If we were objective about it, we would say that peopleís drama is their own business. But we donít. Instead we eat it up and sometimes even help it along Ė even if we know itís wrong. Spreading gossip is obviously a bad thing, but Iíve been known to do it. Sometimes the stories are just too interesting to resist Ė especially if you know itís true. I know, I know Ė Iím going to stop.

Iím pretty sure we love drama as much as we do because it fills a need for excitement in our lives. Some girls like to live drama and others just prefer to watch it. There are tons of emotions involved in anything falling in the dramatics category. Tears, joy, anger and excitement can all coexist in a single moment.

Drama elicits feelings and fascinates us. Nobody would be interested in watching a show about a street full of women who just hang around texting each other or talking on the phone. But a street full of women who cheat on their husbands, stab each other in the back and constantly plot against each other is down right interesting Ė especially if itís your street!

ugh i hate drama but i always seem to get sucked into it. FEROCIOUS you have a good point, but guys start drama too. i knew this guy who loved doing that. i dated him for a while and first he broke up with me because he said i cheated but that was like the most bogus thign because we'd only been together 2 days! then he begged me to take him back the n ext day so i said yes, then a week later he broke up with me again! then we got back together then he stared cheating on ME and then i broke up with him. now he switches back and forth between saying he cant live without me to b*tching at me when ever he can. anyway you probably dont care bout that. just proving my point!

I take drama at school, and it's fun. I mean, real drama makes me mad, but I love the class. I mean, when else do u get to get "run over" by an ambulance. When else do u get to be in a fight? When else do u get to be the flirty girl whose boyfriend is cheating on your so-called best friend?

I think no matter where you live, youre always going to run into drama.

I mean; girls are the WORST. Guys NEVER start that stuff.

All you need to do, is find ONE best friend, and stick with them through the year.

You dont need to be EVERYONES best friend because it just gets you deeper into the hole when all that drama starts.

Have ONE best friend you can talk ALL the crap to about other girls. Dont do it with EVERYONE you meet, because they might as well go tell them.

Also; Just dont talk about anyone behind their backs. When you tell someone else something about the slu.ty girl down the street, youre basically giving them the POWER to go tell that person.

Girls are bi.ches. I admit.

Just watch who your friends are.

If a girl wants to start anything with you,

Dont act bi.chy and dont act like youre all hard, and could totally beat her a.ss.

:]

Just speaking from my past experiences.

I mean really. Drama is stupid.

We all just need to find our true BFFs.
