oh thanks, alabama, for your wise oprah meets dr. phil speech. can you please remember you're only 13? you probobly are calling your latest crush and hanging up on him when he says hello while i type this.

and besides, we don't really need to worry about looks. how about we worry about what's going to happen if the war in Iraq doesn't stop in 50 years or something that affects our society and not our faces!!

The thing is, most celebrities don't look like that. Some do, but most wear pounds of makeup, have plastic surgery, & above all, are airbrushed & photoshopped in pics. So the standard we're being held up to isn't real. One of the best things I have ever seen is this video - it shows the diff between real life & not.... (it's short, for those of you who have very little time...) But I'd recommend everyone watch it.

actually... i feel bad for the perfect pop stars... they live in a world where if they rnt skinny and beautiful, they get trampled by media... and those are the people that have problems like being anorexic and drug-addicts.. can u even imagine the pressure they must feel?... i think that being normal and not a toothpick and not stunningly beautiful is better then being famous... and yea, everyone wants to look like them... but in the real world, it doesnt happen...just be happy the way u r cuz nobodys perfect.

okay no ones perfect 1st of all a lot of celebrities may look perfect but they are not... some are drug addicts some are alcoholics and a lot arent pretty without makeup and some may not be skinny but thats just the way it is and i dont like when people get all this plastic surgery it makes them fake and thats not who they are.....and im real tired of celebrities now days they are not good role models especially for teenagers

I'm sorry if you don't have self esteem problems, but about 98 % of girls who write articles like this do. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have self esteem problems either...EVERYONE has something they dislike about themselves. I'm just saying that if you learn to really love yourself (which is really hard, I know from experiance, I'm still not in a spot I'm complely comfortable with, but I'm almost there) that celebs will not bother you as much.

um, i am an actress, miss blonde. i'm five 10 and i still wear three inch heels when i feel like it, don't talk to me about friggin' self esteem. i'm just downing on celebs because they could be naturally goreous, but they decide that they would rather be half barbie. but really, i thank you for your honesty. they aren't many your age that would say things like that. sure people won't like it, but it's better to be an honest person than a poser friend.

and has anyone seen those teen top model barbies? oh yeah, girls aren't going to have any self esteem problems with those around, looking great in everything. what about the girls that can't help what they look like? i baby-sit a young girl with a problem that makes it so she can't lose weight. what about her, mattel? what about her?

This reminds me of a song called pedestal (Christian song by barlow girl for anyone who wants to know).

One of the verses goes like this.

(Most likely i'll get it wrong.)

"Your so perfect with your pretty face on the TV screen, your a god I know it how you stand above them all."

And another "Got a magazine today, that was full of you. Shocked to read the words they said tell me they're not true. Well add you to my fallen list one more has hit the ground. The fault was mine I held you to high your only way was down!"

It seems that people just keep searching for that one person, that 'perfect person' and they keep failing, making them want more. And I dont mean to go all preaching on you but....I believe I have found that perfect one. Perhaps searching for that perfect one is the path to finding and knowing that perfect one....

I dont know, but hey that could be it.

As to alabama, yes what you say is true but perhaps..say it nicer. (Need a second post not enough room)

You people are missing my point. My point was, if your have enough self confidence it won't matter how celebs looks. They aren't even hurting you, so why fret over it. It's no big deal. Just get over it. That's the way life works. It's not going to change anytime soon. Just stop worrying about celebs and concentrate on your own life. Everyone is beautiful in their own ways and ugly in their own way. Celebs just have a team of well paid professionals that magnify the beautiful parts of them.

Oh, and people, remember that opinions are like a*ssholes..everyone has one and everyone else thinks they stink. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't give you a right to tell them to shut up. If people didn't disagree once ina while the world would probably be a hell of a boring place.
