  Summer Trends (Doll Article)

So, It's summertime and you're looking to buy some summer clothes. What to buy, What NOT to buy. Here are some trends in summer clothing I've been seeing that are really popular and stuff that is WAY out.
This summer seems to be sort of a polished rocker look that's crazy, yet classy and put together. An example of this is wearing a band T-Shirt or any kind of crazy shirt with plaid bermuda shorts. I know some of you might be thinking, Bermudas?! Are you out of your mind?! No, I'm not. Short shorts are definitely on the way out. Sure, some people might still wear them, but where I live, I'm seeing more and more girls wearing bermudas. Besides, They're more comfortable and you're actually able to sit down in them. Another summer trend i'm noticing that's bigger this year than ever before are babydoll tops. Another cute idea, if you like girlier stuff is to find a cute, shorter sundress, possibly a tube top one, that you layer leggings underneath with ballet flats. Finally, a trend that can be on anything, PATTERNS. Heart patterns, star patterns, even lightning bolt patterns are turning up on everything! Don't be afraid to mix it up with crazy patterns. Maybe find one that noone else has!

I hope you all have a great summer, and don't forget that if you see any more trends to contact me via DollPalace email and i'll make a Summer Trends Part Two!!

Hmm..

Not a bad article, all in all.

Though I have to say, here up north, it's still a little too cold to wear short shorts, and I'll probobly be wearing Bermudas all summer long, rather than skimpy little shorts that are tight, uncomfortable, and are hard to DO things in.

But that's just my opinion and I'm way more into the outdoorsy sort of things than most girls my age.

So I gotta say that I don't really like short shorts. Burmudas are much more modest and you can do so many more things so much easier in them.

I also gotta say that I can not agree with Alabama Blonde when she says that hte legs are one of the most beautiful parts of a woman's body.

I certainly don't think so, but then again, that's just me.

Shorts so short that you have to worry about your butt hanging out aren't stylish, they're tacky. If you do wear shorter shorts, make sure that when you bend over nothing is showing. Super mirco short shorts aren't called short shorts, they're called hot shorts and unless you plan to go streetwalking should be avoided. A short short will never go out of style, but a bermuda is a very short lived trend that is more approproate for in the spring. Short shorts have been in for forever and are a summertime classic, but bermudas just came about 2 years ago and will be out just as soon. If you have your heart set on bermudas for whatever reason, I would avoid plaid ones because they are insanely trendy. I mean, they were in stores for about a month down south and then were out again...when that happens, you may want to avoid because you can end up looking like the girls who bought the sequin purses on their way out, cheap and tacky. Stick to a solid color bermuda like khacki or dark brown.

Also, I would like to point out that this a a mostly TEEN site and that this post was about TRENDS. You can't get much more teen/ trendy than stores like Hollister or Abercrombie (or Aberzombie as you call it , wow, also so mature ), so naturally that is the stores that most people will look to for trends, and also the red carpet. And, you said "a little messy never hurt anyone", but who wants to walk around looking sloppy? Sure, torn jeans have a certain appeal. Converses and Vans with slightly rugged tops are cool. Two busy prints that would draw away from your natural beauty is completly different, and it's unattractive. Honestly, thousands of people visit this site every day, did you expect everyone to agree with you? Were you going to attempt to insult them all? Legs are one of the most beautiful parts of a woman's body, why should you cover them up? Grow up, and don't bother posting if you can't handle other peoples' opinions.

Hmm, can we say immature? Just because someone tells you you don't know what the heck you're talking about doesn't mean you have to call me a hick. But then again, at least I know to capitalize the first word of the sentence. So I guess sometimes redneck girls like me aren't always uneducated. Oh, BTW, I'm da*mn proud to be a southern "hick" and maybe we just wear short shorts down here because we southern belles have the booties to fill them out! *lol*

shut up alabama blonde

noone cares

shove off with your boondock-esque daisy dukes.

bermudas are much more popular than short shorts. it's just that you're too much of a hick to figure out that the jessica simpson look is way over.

besides, a little messy never hurt anyone, so what are you crying about? i mean, come on, OCD much.

And I'm talking about shopping at actual GOOD stores, not crap ones like ABERZOMBIE and AMERICAN VULTURE.

Some of it was on, but I don't know. Maybe I bit more research will help you out. Although I have to say, where I live, every girl wears bermudas and they all hate short shorts and micro minis, etc.

No, no and no. Short shorts are hotter than ever. Bermudas are very last season. Just go into any trendy teen store such as Hollister Co, Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale, Wet Seal and Charlotte Russe and you will find walls and walls of shorter shorts and very few bermudas. Bermudas are for the spring season, where it's getting hot enough to wear shorter stuff then jeans and still cool enough to want to cover up a little. Short shorts are more appropriate for summer when it is a 100 degrees outside and you want to wear as little as possible and still not look trashy. Also, if you wear a busy band tee shirt (and most band tee shirts are) over striped bermudas your overall look will look sloppy and too busy. If you want to wear something striped on the bottom, whether it be short shorts or bermudas you want to keep it simple on top. Honestly, if you're going to write an article at least no what you're talking about,
