Fashion predictions for the New Year (Doll Article)

Help me predict the fads and fashion for the year 2007!
You always want to be ahead of the fashion curve, right? You want to be the one to set the trends. Take me, for instance. I was the first person at my school to have an emo haircut and soon after, others followed suit. So I want to make some perdictions about what 2007's fashion is going to be.

* I do not believe in stereotyping, believe me. The stereotypes below are just style refrences, not references to people themselves, so please do not be offended.*

Preps--
I think preppy is going to take on a more adventurous meaning in 2007. Instead of the usual pastels and the occasional bright colors, I think they might be a little more daring, maybe by bringing back old trends. Legwarmers with skirts? I wouldn't rule it out completely. The style, however, will stay true to its roots.

Emo--
I think emo could go two different ways. It could go a bit more fun and girly, or it could go more hardcore and edgy. This styles' future is definitely in limbo. I'd say band t-shirts, electric blue, and leggings (lace, fishnets, spandex, etc.) under jeans are going to be pretty big.

Goth--
Goth, at least at my school, is going more toward cutesy instead of dark and moody. I see a lot of skulls with bows and ruffles. 2007 will split this style in half; one group who wants to stay with chains and all black, and the ones who want the ruffles and skulls.

Sporty--
Sporty will stay the same. It'll still be all designer brands and stuff. It may get more girl-friendly, but not much will change within this style.

If you have any other predictions, maybe even make-up wise, leave a comment. Read my other article, New Years Party Outfit Shopping/Makeup for tips on what to wear to a New Years Eve Party!

I just HOPE the 80's look fades away by the end of the year. I'm getting tired of it, and the clothes in the 80's were not fashion worthy anyways. I understand the whole vintage look, by why not something much more nicer looking? Like 60's mod style...
