Vampire Doll

Are you fascinated by the undead? Perhaps you enjoy the little tingles on the back of your neck or the goose bumps that show up telling you not all is as it appears. Are you on the lookout for something supernatural, and fascinated by creepy tales? If so, I’m sure you love the royal family of horror - vampires.

Vampires are truly evil. They feast on human blood and enjoy turning victims into new vampires. Some recent books and movies have taken a new twist on the old principle, but even those few “good” vampires are heavily outweighed by their bad kinsmen. If you want to be prepared, there are certain things you need to know. Here are the most common characteristics of vampires:

Perfectly normal

– While we all love to wear the pointy teeth at Halloween, original vampires were often the picture of health and normalcy. They look even healthier than you and me, but at night might come for your blood.

Elongated teeth

– While some myths make vampires healthy looking, others have them deathly pale with elongated canines. Check your boyfriend’s teeth carefully before any make out sessions – not that you should be doing any necking anyway!

Missing Shadow

– Many myths claim that vampires don’t cast a shadow. Some say this is because they have no soul, and others claim it is because they are dead already. Who cares? It’s just plain creepy!

No Reflection

– If you pass by a mirror with a friend and only you show up, you’re in trouble. Vampires don’t usually show up in mirrors, and again this is believed to be because vampires have no soul.

Shape Shifter

– Vampires can change shape, and not just into bats like in the movies. Folklore tells that vampires can become any number of creatures including spiders and wolves – maybe even your adorably little kitten.

If you are suddenly seeing vampires all around, have no fear. There are plenty of ways to protect yourself – and not all involve silver bullets!

Garlic

– Garlic is the equivalent of mosquito repellent, only it has nothing to do with mosquitoes. Put some in your pocket or make a necklace if you want to repel vampires, but beware! Your new perfume might repel your friends, too.

Wooden Stakes

- There are only a few ways to kill a vampire, and this is the messiest. Wooden stakes through the heart will take out anyone really, not just a vampire.

Sunlight

– The easiest way to hurt or kill a vampire is to hit it with sunlight. As vampires are night creatures, some folktales claim sunlight is their natural enemy and they will perish if caught in the rays.

Vampire Doll

Silver Bullets

– If you have any on hand, silver bullets will also do the trick. Of course, anyone shot with a bullet through the heart, silver or otherwise, is probably not going to live to tell the tale.

Naturally, all of this vampire talk is really just for fun. Real-life vampire tales pop up all over the globe from time to time, but they have all been proven false. So, until a real vampire is spotted, you can have fun creating them here at the Doll Palace. Try a pale face and red lips, or maybe some scary fangs. Make her creepy or friendly, but just remember…nobody is truly safe!

(contiued from previous comment) Vampirism is a blood disease, like lukemia. It heightens the senses of its host and perfects the host body, eliminating things like excess body fat and toning the muscles. The heightened senses are probably the reason vamps can't stand garlic. It stinks anyway, so if you multiply that several million times, you'd probably avoid it too. Aside for the beautiful creatures we usually call vampire there are also the nosferatu; ugly, rat-like things that dwell in abandoned buildings, luring the unsuspecting in to be feasted on.

Okay, vampgirl, I'll tell you what I know about vampires. To become one, a vampire has to drain you of blood to the point of death, then offer you some of his in return. If you only get bitten by one(and they don't kill you), you are what is refered to as a 'little drink', Most of the time, if they bite you, they intend to kill you. All that junk about them not having shadows or reflections is a load of crap, physics demands they have both. It's not a matter of them having a soul or not. Those who are 'little drinks' mostly live with their undead compainions and are usually in charge of running the vamp's financial affairs and business. The only ways to kill a vamp are to pierce his heart with a yew stick, burn him, or let sunlight touch him. There are vamps called daywalkers, but the stories get confused about how you'd become one. Roses, garlic and pure silver are wards against vampires in most stories, but I don't think it's fatal.

I think it all depends on how much you've studied both Vampires and Werewolves, the oldest Lycanthrope myths didn't have anything in them about turning at the full moon, or that they didn't have any control, they just put on a belt, and turned, and when they were finished with whatever they wanted to do, they took off the belt.

In my bf's books they ate what they wanted then put the rest in a freezer for later XD Course, they preferred cheeseburgers and things like that anyway, lol.

Also, did you know when a Werewolf died it was supposed to come back as a Vampire? o.0

Or visa-versa.. One of those!?!

* sigh * look, I don't post to be mean, or to make fun, or to nag, but to prod. We as the human race can better ourselves! And by bettering ourselves, we better the world.

I have posted nonewhatsoever about my beliefs. I simply put my opinion.

Believe what you want, it's all up to you, but please, allow other people their basic right to believe what they will as well.

Yes, in no way have I have I told these people to stop being "vampires". They are free to belive what they please. By stating an opinion, I have in no way told these people to stop.

So please, consider what I have said.

p.s. I speak German and Japanese.
