Summer always seems to go buy much too quickly for my liking. I donít care if I spend every day bored to tears, itís far better to be bored at home than to be bored in class, I say. But like it or not, the summer is more than halfway over and school supplies and television commercials seem to be jumping out at me from every angle. Before I head back to school, however, I have plans.

Plant a Tree

Itís absolutely not the right season to plant a tree, but I donít care. Most nurseries have plants and trees on sale and planting a tree can have many different significant meanings. Planting a tree can be in memory of a lost relative or it can be a symbol of things to come. You can plant a tree in celebration. Regardless of why you want to plant the tree, putting another living plant in the ground will do that much more to help our struggling environment and youíll have the added benefits of watching a beautiful tree grow over the years.

Get a Haircut

I talk about it every year, but this year Iíll truly be changing my look. I want a new haircut and I want it to be dramatically different than any look Iíve had to date. I think a short, rather punky do would be fun Ė maybe with a bit of color. Of course, Iíll have to be sure that I donít get too outlandish or I might find myself in trouble on the first day back. Iíd like to get a haircut a month or so before school starts to give me time to get used to it and to learn to care for it properly and style it before putting the new look on display.

Shop Slowly

Rather than a frenzy of back-to-school shopping with all fifteen thousand of my closet friends, Iíd rather start buying outfits one at a time. Stores already have the items in stock. They are already on sale thanks to the economy. Why not shop now with friends or my mom and pick out a few things at a time? Donít get me wrong, I still have every intention of heading out with the masses, but it would be nice to know that the biggest and most important items are already safe at home and just spend my time looking for fun accessories and things that donít have to be tried on Ė I hate waiting for dressing rooms.

Write Something Down

Another thing I always mean to do but donít is to write down an account of where I am in my life right now. I plan on doing it this year either through one of my profiles or in a journal. Maybe Iíll make it an annual tradition to write a summary of who I am and where I am including my weight, measurements and other interesting things about me at the moment. I know Iíd love to have this stuff in a year when Iím back again enjoying the summer and especially years from now, especially if I can be good and write things down every year so I have a nice collection.

I love to write and plant flowers and carnivorous plants. I have a pitcher plant in my bedroom, but I can't water it because I'm currently at my nan's sister's house. She's called Gill. She lives in Chester. And I'm not getting a haircut, I want to grow it out. But shopping slowly is a brilliant idea. Yessss!

The only frenzy with B2S shopping we get is with the school supplies.
